Arul Azhakan
for Everest Base camp Trek - 14 Days

EBC trek is such an iconic and well known trek that it needs no introduction. "Basecamp Adventures" did a wonderful job at making this experience an amazing one. Our expedition leader/guide was the co-founder of the company and was vastly experienced. A long, strenuous and reasonably demanding trek. But it was worth it. Just hope that you get a good view when you are in that region as the weather gods need to show mercy to get those views that you go all the way out there for. And weather also plays a huge role in getting in and out of the place (getting stuck at Lukla for a few days and missing you international flight at Kathmandu or losing those days even before you take the flight to Lukla is not unheard of). Prepare & pack wisely, train well and get all your trekking equipment in Nepal. Take on the climbs/descends at your own pace. It most definitely is not a race. :) Do your homework and learn about things like AMS, the terrain, common challenges faced etc. You have tons of videos on youtube. This is a wonderful trek to do. But if you have more days to spare, do atleast one of the passes (Gokyo being the most well known). The views that they offer are supposed to be way more impressive.
