Description

Trekking to the Everest Base Camp facing the south is in the Nepal region and the most popular option for trekkers to reach Everest Base Camp. It is situated on an altitude of 5364 meters. This trekking route is of moderate difficulty level and few instances will be very strenuous. This will be a challenging task and the key over here is your patience level and not your fitness level. People with average fitness level will be able to it successfully; after all it is a trekking to the Everest Base Camp and not climbing the Mount Everest. Our guides, porters will take care and ensure that you are able to reach on your speed, let it take the time of its own.

Our Expedition will cover the below famous points apart from many other.

Namche Bazaar, Namche Museum, Tengboche Monastery and The oldest Shepra Village on the highest peak. We will get to see the Mount Lhotse, Mount Ama Dablam, The Imja Valley, Mount Makalu, Mount Cho Yu, Mount Pumori , Mount Nuptse, Mount Cholatse , Mount Thamserku, Khumbu Glacier, Khumbu Icefall, Khumbutse, Lingtren, Mahalangur, Everest Base Camp and a trek to top of Mount Kala Patthar. You will get a panoramic view of the Himalayan Ranges from the Mount Kala Patthar, including the complete view of the Everest. You will cross two high mountain passes Renjo la Pass and Chola Pass during this trek.

Itinerary

  • Day No -1 Arrive at Kathmandu

    On your arrival our representative will meet you and you will be checked into the hotel. You will be briefed about the trekking plan and will be given all necessary information for the trek. The remaining part of the day is on leisure, you can explore the city and its popular places such as Thamel.

  • Day No -2 Kathmandu to Lukla, then trek to Phakding (2652 meters)

    After breakfast we will proceed to the Tribhuvan Domestic Airport, Kathmandu. We will take a flight to Lukla. The total flying time is of 35 minutes. The experience of flying in this route will be one of your best. The flight will be passing through the valleys and presenting some breathtaking views of the mountain ranges and the Nepali villages atop.

    Once you arrive in Lukla, our representatives will receive you at the Airport. Immediately we will start our trek to Phakding, which is placed at an altitude level of 2652m. It is a simple trek for 2.5 hours. The trail will pass via many small villages and green mountains. We will stay overnight at a hotel in Phakding.

  • Day No -3 Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 meters)

    We will start early for our trek to Namche Bazaar. Namche is at an altitude level of 3440m. The route is surrounded by huge green mountain ranges. The Dudh Koshi River flows along the side of the trail till Namche. We will be having lunch on the route at Monjo, as that is the last point to get food before Namche. The route between Monjo and Namche is a gradually inclining trail amidst thick green forest. You will be able to get a glimpse of Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse just before Namche. Overnight stay at a hotel in Namche. Total trekking will be 6 to 7 hours with moderate difficulty level and a portion after Monjo will be strenuous.

  • Day No -4 Acclimatization at Namche (3440 meters), Short Hiking

    This day is reserved for acclimatization and rest. Namche Bazaar has everything one can wish for. Coffee shops, Bars, Restaurants and many more things to do. You can also explore the nearby areas of Namche, such as the Namche museum which is just above the Namche Bazaar and may take you about 20 minutes of walking. You can get a clear view of Everest and Lhotse from the museum. You can visit the Namche Bazaar (Market) and Namche Monastery. You may also consider a small hike to the Khumjung Village.

  • Day No -5 Namche to Thame (3820 meters)

    This is comparatively a less crowded trekking route. The route is very scenic. You will pass through many villages like Thamo. On the trail, you will see a very beautiful site of a noisy stream flowing below a bridge. It will take 5 hours to reach Thame. It is a very beautiful village where Tenzing Norgay had spent his childhood.

  • Day No -6 Thame to Lumde (4368 meters)

    It will take about 5 hours to reach Lumde and Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Day No -7 Lumde to Gokyo (4790 meters)

    It will take about 6 -7 hours to reach Gokyo. We will cross the Renjo La Pass (5360 meters); this patch of the trek will be strenuous. The view from the Renjo La pass is really amazing. Overnight stay at a hotel near Gokyo.

  • Day No -8 Gokyo Rest Day

    You will explore the famous Lakes of Gokyo. There are about 5 lakes, but mostly it is possible to cover 2 or 3 lakes.

  • Day No -9 Gokyo – Gokyo Ri (5330 meters ) – Dragnag / Thagnak (4790 meters)

    We will proceed for Gokyo Ri (5330 meters). The view of MT. Everest, MT. Lhotse from Gokyo Ri is breathtaking. Then we will descend and reach Dragnag (4790 meters). It will take about 6 – 7 hours at max to reach Dragnag.

  • Day No -10 Dragnag / Thagnak – Cho La Pass (5420 meters) – Dzongla (4830 meters)

    Today we will cross the famous Cho La Pass (5420m). The inclined portion leading to cross the pass will be little strenuous. The views from this pass is really nice. We will then descend to Dzongla for overnight stay. This will again be an amazing view point to see the gigantic Himalayan ranges, including mount Everest and mount Makalu.

  • Day No -11 Dzongla – Lobuche (4910 meters)

    This will be a very pleasant walk for you. It is one of the simple routes to trek. It will take us about 3 to 4 hours to reach Lobuche.

  • Day No -12 Lobuche (4940 meters)to Gorakshep (5170 meters) to EBC (5364 meters) and come back to Gorakshep

    Today's trail will be on glaciers. The trek to Gorakshep (5170 m) and Everest Base Camp (5364 m) is likely to be of moderate difficulty level. You will get clear sight of the Khumbu Glacier. However, it will not be possible to get a full vertical view of Mt. Everest from the Base Camp or Gorakshep as other big mountains will block its view. This part of the trek will surely feel like you are in heaven amidst the glaciers and see the gigantic mountain up-close. We will get to see the peak of the Everest very clearly tomorrow from Kala Patthar. Overnight stay in Gorakshep. The total trekking time will be 7 -8 hours and will be moderate difficulty level.

  • Day No -13 Hiking to Kala Patthar (5645 meters) and descend to Lobuche (4940 meters)

    The hike to Kala Patthar will be the most difficult part of this trekking expedition of yours, as well as the most rewarding one. You will be able to get a complete vertical view of Mt. Everest. In fact Kala Patthar is the only place which will give you views of almost all of the high peak mountains of the Himalayan Ranges. It will take about 2.5 to 3 hr to reach Kala Patthar from Gorakshep. The trek from Kala Patthar will be all descending from now on and the trek becomes very simple, though you have to be very careful about the decline. We will need another 3 hours to reach Lobuche (4940m). Total trek time will be 7 hours max with only one steep incline and rest of trail will be a simple a trek.

  • Day No -14 Lobuche (4940 meters) to Dingboche (4360 meters)

    It will take us about 5 to 6 hours to reach Dingboche. It is a Sherpa village, located on a highest peak. We can take a small hike to get a view of worlds three top mountain peaks, mount. Lhotse, Mt Makalu and Mt Cho oyu. Besides these, you will see plenty of peaks and mountain ranges. Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Day No -15 Dingboche (4360 meters) to Tengboche (3860 meters)

    The trek time will be about 5 hours to reach Tengboche. Tengboche is a beautiful small valley at an altitude level of 3860m. We can take a walk to the famous Tengboche Monastery. This is one of the most beautiful monasteries in the Himalayan region.

  • Day No -16 Tengboche (3860 meters) to Namche (3440 meters)

    It will take about 5 hours to reach Namche. You can see the beautiful Phortse village on your way. It is from this village, the maximum no of people have climbed the Mount Everest.

  • Day No -17 Namche (3440 meters) to Lukla (2800 meters)

    It will take about 5 to 6 hours to reach Lukla.

  • Day No -18 Lukla to Kathmandu

    Take a flight to Kathmandu and overnight stay at Kathmandu. This is a complete leisure day.

  • Day No -19 Departure

    Post breakfast check out by 12 noon.
