Start from the O Coqueiro circle at Porvorim, 4km from the capital, Panaji. Take inside roads through traditional Goan villages to Mapusa. Then pedal though the villages of Moira, Nachinola and Aldona. Cross the cable-stayed Aldona Bridge to Corjuem, and pedal past the quaint Corjuem Fort. Then cycle through village roads to reach the lovely Mayem Lake. Then take a quick ride down steep slopes to Narvem, before pedalling to the steel arched Calvim Bridge. After crossing it, return to Porvorim via Pomburpa and Salvador do Mundo. For those who want a shorter ride, we can give the Mayem Lake a miss.

Goa’s green hills, the Western Ghats in the interior, and its long beach stretches offer the most scenic, diverse and interesting biking routes in the country. Cycling through the villages of Goa is a pleasant and relaxing experience. Traditional houses, temples, churches and mosques, verdant greenery and the ever-present backwaters offer a soothing backdrop to leisurely rides through the countryside. Small bakeries and cafes en route offer a taste of local fare, and a traditional taverna is never too far away.

We take you on tiny tours of Goa. Each lasts around three hours, taking in a piece of history or a slice of culture. Ride on top-of-the-line Montra Trance 21-speed geared bicycles.
