Reporting at Kathmandu
My Everest Base Camp trek experience with Imperial treks Nepal was just incredible. Everyone was extremely helpful right from the stage of trip planning to helping with ideas in customizing the trip till helping us out in buying/renting the required trekking gear from right places and good prices. I couldn't ask for anything more.
If you are planning to book with Imperial Nepal treks, try and ask for Hari as your guide - he's the best. Hari makes sure you are having a great time all along the trek. He always got us best available teahouses with the best rooms within them for our group. What more, he is also our nutritionist during the trek, giving us valuable suggestions on what to try for food, what not to eat, making sure we are well fed and energetic throughout the trek.
What we especially liked was Hari teaching us few words of the Nepali language. In exchange, we taught him how to play UNO and trust me, you've never seen a guy as happy as him while playing cards.
To make a long story short; he is a great guide and as the trek depends to a large extent on your guide, we were very lucky to get Hari to guide us.
Thanks Imperial Nepal for arranging this amazing trip for us!
My friend Max and I traveled through India, Bhutan and Nepal for two months. We booked our trek to Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar, through Imperial Nepal Treks in advance.
We were picked up right from airport and were dropped at our hotel and briefed about the schedule. After resting for a day and touring Kathmadu and arranging all the gear required for the trek, we flew from Kathmandu to Lukla airport where our guide, Hari, awaited us. I would definitely suggest you request for Hari since he really made our already great trekking experience even more awesome. He always finds amazing places for accommodation and arranges good food and takes really good care of his group! He and the Imperial Nepal treks management were also very flexible and reasonable when we wanted to change something from our itinerary in the middle of our trek.
They are totally worth the money and let you focus on having an amazing experience without worrying about any logistics or planning. I strongly recommend them for trekking in Nepal
We are a group of 3 friends from South India and travelled to Nepal and trekked to Everest base camp in November 2015. This was a brilliant trip organized very well from the moment we reached Kathamandu airport. Our guide, Mani was very freindly. He is also very informative and safety conscious. Our porters were also very supportive, cheerful and hard working.
They take very good care of us during the hike and made sure all of us are in top condition and very comfortable during the whole trek. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that they treated us like their own family.
Tea houses where we were taken to were clean and warm and the food we were served was quite decent all along the trek. We thoroughly enjoyed the company of our guide and porters as much as our group and managed to complete the trek safely without any hiccups at any stage.
I will definitely plan to do this trek again and this time I will opt for a longer route as we could then spend more time together and in the remote and beautiful Himalayas.
Organizing the trek with Imperial was smooth. They provided us with all the information needed well in advance. The guys at the office are also very friendly and helpful.
Overall we are very satisfied and happy with Imperial!
Recommendation: Do bring cards or other games that you can play in groups to the trek as you will have free time in the tea houses on several days in the evenings or sometimes even in the afternoons!
Great company for the Everest Base Camp trek. We have just returned from the 13 day package and couldn't be happier with the service provided.
I had an amazing EBC Trek with this company. My guide Lakba was amazing he was very knowledgeable and kind. I communicated and organised my trip with Paras. He too was very kind and made big efforts to make sure my trek was great. This company will look after you well from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. Can’t recommend this company highly enough if you’re planning on doing any trekking in Nepal.
I had a great time with the team of Imperial Nepal. They are one of the finest outdoor planners I've encountered. I recently did a trek to Everest with them, which was my second trek in Nepal after ABC trek in 2016. Both the experiences were perfect, and they did give me good deal on my second holiday, so Yeah. Imperial Nepal is highly professional and I'll refer them anytime.
We have just completed the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek over nine days with our porter Sudip. We booked this company in Australia due to positive reviews and both of us having never been in Nepal. They arranged the itinerary which made things easy. We already had travel organised but not trek. Ram met us in Kathmandu and went over the modified specific for our needs itinerary. We provided photos and he organised the relevant permits. We then met Sudip in Pokhara and got bus to Neyapul where we started trek. Sudip basically looked after us from start to finish. Organising meals, accommodation, carried our main luggage (11kg backpack -70litre - not full). We used smaller 22 litre daypacks for essential items. The accommodation and itinerary was flexible although we only ended up changing one night - agreed by all to expidite trip. Be aware it is a very tough trek with Poon Hill included over duration. The attentive and loyal service was first class and he is a great man. Couldnt recommend this company higher. Dhanyabud Sudip. Namaste.
Done this trip under an year ago and everything possible went wrong and was badly handled. I guess , if there are no problems with your trip , you won't have any issues with Ram (owner or manager). However in our case, when unexpectated issues arrised he showed no ability or willingness to help. It took endless discussions and negotiations to get to a reasonable resolution. Overall our trip was spoilt by bad management and I would advise you to book directly a guide or a porter instead of going through third parties.
