7 Days - Queen Elizabeth National Park, Lake Bunyonyi, Bwindi National Park, and Lake Mburo National Park


Description

This 7 day Uganda Safari strikes a perfect balance between wildlife and nature. The wildlife and gorilla tracking safari takes you to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s second largest park with plenty of wildlife, birds and primates. Crater lakes and rolling savannah plains overlooking the snow capped rwenzori mountains offers a view that will take your breath away. You will revel in activities like game drives, boat cruise, chimpanzee tracking and the glorious gorilla tracking in Bwindi National Park. This adventure also encompasses a Batwa cultural trial that allows you to learn about the “pygmy” bushmen who live in the forests.


Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Transfer from Kampala / Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park

    After an early breakfast, you will depart Kampala / Entebbe and travel westwards through Uganda’s beautiful green countryside to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey will take 6-7 hours with stopover at the Equator for an opportunity to stand in two hemispheres at the same time. You will continue through the savanna grasslands with lots of banana plantations and several herds of local long horned Ankole cattle endemic to this part of the country. You will get to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the evening. Dinner and overnight at:

  • Day 2 : Game drive and boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

    You will set off early (about 6:30 am) for a morning game drive, an awesome experience to spot the animals in natural habitats. Expect to see the famous Big four; Elephant, Buffalos, Lions, Bush bucks, Kobs, Giant forest hog, Hyenas leopards, antelopes, and Waterbucks as well as birds. You will return for breakfast and relax till lunch. In the afternoon you will take a launch cruise along the amazing Kazinga channel to see, at close range, the water animals to include Hippos, Buffalos, Crocodiles and elephants bathing on the channel banks. There is also a variety of bird species on the water banks especially the famous Shoebill, pelican and Jacana.

  • Day 3 : Chimp tracking in Queen Elizabeth National Park and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

    After your breakfast early morning, head to the forest for chimp tracking, and chimp tracking takes 3-4 hours after proceed to Kagamba then Ntungamo town where you will have your lunch en- routes then proceed to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale,This Lake which derives its from bird Bunyonyi meaning a place for many birds and a good photographic experience. Later proceed to your Hotel to check in and rest for the day. Dinner and Overnight at:

  • Day 4 : Transfer from Lake Bunonyi to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

    After an early breakfast, you will have a Boat Ride/Canoe Ride on the Lake Bunyonyi. This lake is said to be one of the most beautiful places in western Uganda. It is the second deepest lake in Africa [900 meters deep] and also one of the few places in the country where it is considered safe to swim as it is bilharzias free. The journey takes 6-7 hours and you will have your lunch en-route. The landscape around the lake is made up of terraced hills protruding from the water’s edge. Bunyonyi means “place of little birds” and as the name suggests, there is plenty of birdlife around the lake.

    Post Lunch you will be transferred to Bwindi National Park for Dinner and Overnight stay at:

  • Day 5 : Gorilla tracking and Batwa trail experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

    After an early morning breakfast, with your packed lunch, will go for briefing by UWA rangers, after you enter in the jungle to trek the fascinating endangered gorillas the rare species that have almost human characters, you will also have a chance to sight other primates like the blue, red tailed monkey and other species of animals, your guides will help you so much to catch a glimpse and have a lot of information and you will come back with memorable moments. Trekking gorillas takes 6-7 hours. Then later comeback have lunch relax before heading for the Batwa trail experience in the evening, later return to your accommodation.

  • Day 6 : Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for an afternoon boat ride and nature walk

    After an early morning breakfast, you will depart to Lake Mburo National Park. The drive takes 3-4 hours with stopovers at areas of tourist attraction, You will have lunch at the lodge reserved for you, after which you will go for an afternoon boat trip on the lake rich with a variety of animals such as hippos and crocodiles and bird species. It will take you hours, in the evening take a nature walk before you retire for dinner and overnight.

    Note: For Boat ride it's 120$ for an entire Boat, currently considering that there would be at least 4 people for the ride, we have quoted thepackage with 30$ for the Boat ride. If the number of people is less then you will have to pay the excess amount accordingly.

  • Day 7 : Game drive in Lake Mburo National Park and transfer to Entebbe / Kampala

    After breakfast, you will have an early morning game drive through the park in search of plain game like zebra, hippos, crocodiles, eland, antelope, impala and a variety of birds. Later you will depart for Kampala / Entebbe arriving in the afternoon for your departure.
