Ratangad trek is TrekDi's one of the most favorite treks. You get to enjoy almost everything in this trek. You can enjoy rains, trek, jungle, stream, thrill everything in this trek. There are very few treks where so many facets are combined together.

Location: Ratangad, Ratanwadi, Igatpuri, Nashik

Difficulty Level :3 (Medium) Endurance Level :3 (Medium)

Whats Included in Fees

  • Pune to Pune transportation by private bus including toll and parking charges

What to bring

  1. Luggage packed in big good trekking sack, all luggage packed in plastic bag.
  2. Complete spare set of clothes & socks
  3. Water bottle (atleast 2.5 ltr) compulsory
  4. Electral/ Glucon-d energizers and personal medication
  5. A sweater/warmwear/rainwear (as per the season)
  6. Good trekking shoes (sandles, chappals, floaters not permitted)
  7. A sleeping bag / Thermocol mat and shawl / normal satranji and shawl: (only for overnight treks)
  8. Torch with Extra pair of Batteries
  9. Camera, Binocular (Optional)
  10. Plate, spoon, mug (Compulsory)
  11. Odomos Cream (Compulsory)

Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Start from Fergusson College by 6.15 a.m

    Have breakfast on the Route. Reach Ratanwadi and Have Lunch. Start the Trek. Reach the top and sightseeing on the fort. Dinner and go to bed.

  • Day 2

    Early wake up call. Have breakfast and Sightseeing on the fort. Start descending the fort. Reach base and Have Lunch. Post lunch Start towards Pune. Reach Pune by 9:00 p.m.

    (Stay in the caves of Ratangad. Please note that there are no hotels or toilets or any other structure on the fort. It is a rustic activity. Please note it again that it is a trek and not a trip.)
