Sikkim, the small but beautiful kingdom is situated in the eastern Himalayas. Sikkim is termed as the Switzerland of the east, a heavenly paradise on earth. It covers an area of 2818 square miles 7325 square kilometers. It is rectangular in shape with seventy miles in the north to south and forty east to west. Geographically it is 28 Degree 07' 48'' degree and 27 degree 04' 46'' north latitude, and 88 degree 00' 58' and 88 degree 55' 25'' east longitude. In the north it is bounded by Tibetan plateau to its east is Bhutan and Chumbi valley of Tibet and in the southern side is bounded by West Bengal India. There are two passes in the eastern boundary with Tibet Nathula pass (4700 metres) and Jelepla(4016 metres ). To the west lies Singalila range which forms the most important boundaries between Nepal and Sikkim with a pass named Chiwabhangjang (3400 metres). There are two important rivers In Sikkim Teesta which starts from Tashidrag Glacier in the north and Rangit which is a tributaries of Teesta river.

Darjeeling – Uttarey ( 05 Hrs,2050 Mts .)
Morning we leave by surface to Uttarey -06 Hrs.Overnight Camp
Uttarey – Chewa Bhangjang (3100 Mts.06 Hrs Trek)
The first day takes us to chewa bhangjang. Walking at last, a gentle rising trail through rain forest until a final steep couple of hours bring us to Nepalese border at camp.Overnight at Camp.
In Chewa Bhangjang
This is an attractive setting to gain some essential early acclimatization.A round trip to nearby singalilia peak at 3600 Mts.will gives us some excellent view (04 Hrs Trek).Overnight Camp.
Chewa Bhangjang – Dhor (3800 Mts.07 Hrs Trek).
A gentle rising traverse through forest and them a more exposed hillside brings us to the prayer flags adorning our first pass and views of distant mountains.The walk is pleasantly undulating and not too strenuous.The occasional yak herds hut is the only sigh of habitation as we look down far below to the rice ields and cardamom plantations.Overnight in Camp.
Dhor –Pare Magu (3840 Mts 06 Hrs Trek).
Rising before dawn,a five minutes walk on the ridge will rewards us with the first of the many spectacular sights of rhe journey sunrise on the both Everest & Kanchejunga.Through the day we contour,descend and climb maintaining a steady height,spiraling from one side of the ridge to the other until a rough steep ascent takes us across a pass.beyond the trail wends its way steadily through rhododendrons and past several hindu shrines where second easier passes drops down to camp.
Pare Magu – Garakhet (4300 Mts O4 Hrs Trek).
The walk easily on a good trail through woods until we begin a steady rise up a broad valley where we catch our first closer view of the entire Kabure range dominated by Pandim (6690 Mts).A futher hour of ascent and arrive at Camp.Overnight camp.
Garakhet –Dhphe Bir (4630 Mts )-Gomathang (4000 Mts 07 Hrs Trek).
Now we are in high mountain country.For the past two days we have been walking in Nepal and we pass the sacred lake of Lamphokari.Overnight Camp
Gomathang – Tegyap –la (3950 Mts 07 Hrs Trek)
Climb through forest of sweets smelling silver fir and rhododendrons.Look out for the brightly coloured Daphe birds which nest is the high crags around the kamsey la-4200 Mts.which is gained by steady ascent up steep scree to a skyline dominated by the dizzying pinnacie and ice cliffs of Kanchenunga.Overnight camp.
Tegyap La – Dzongri (4100 Mts )3 Hrs Trek).
Overnight camp.In Dzongri.Rest day at Dzongri with the optional of seeing the sunrise from the near by prayer flagged hillside where the king of Sikkim used to come to pay his respect to holy mountains.In Clear weather the views here are excellent.Overnight camp.
Dzongri – Thangsing. (4024Mts 05 hrs trek)
The trek is initially a flat walk for about half an hour, then a steep descent through the rhododendrons, towards the glacial prek river. After crossing the rivers; it will be another 1 hour gentle climb to Thansing.Overnight camp.
THANGSING –LAMUNE (4164 Mts. 03 hrs. trek) Overnight camp.
Follow an easy trail up to the valley through low scrub with Thangsing peak and Pan dim the right and Kanchendzonga, Gacha peak ahead. A steep climb of 40 minutes takes us over an old glacier moraine and down to Lake Semite.
LAMUNE –Zamathang View point (4950 Mts.) –THANGSING.
Early morning we air for Goch-la. An alpine starts at 04.00hrs, will allow us to reach our objective as the sun rising and the air is clear. The high Himalayan landscape of tumbling glaciers, great pinnacled fridge and soaring peaks is dominated by the elegant but mighty bulk of Kanchendzonga towering 3500 Mts. above us, but view from our own summit will be the extraordinary. Now we descend down to Lamune and gentle walk to Thangsing, Overnight camp.
THANGSING- TSHOKA (3050Mts) 06 hrs trek.
Over night camp. We follow our foot until Perk Chu and follow the mountain ridge taking its lower side till we come out at PHEDANG. From here a sharp descend of 02 hrs all the way will bring us to the small settlement of Tibetan village at Tsoka, Overnight camp.
YUKSAM 177O Mts. 06 hrs trek.
We follow the traditional route back to the main valley and then on to YUKSAM
YUKSAM- drive to Badogra airport/NJP railway station 05 hrs.
