Itinerary

  • Day 1

Arrive in Haridwar by around 6 a.m. here you will board the awaiting vehicle and drive to Jayalgarh (3-4 hrs, 115 kms). Arrive at the camp, freshen up & relax for some time. Post relaxation there will be a briefing on the rafting techniques and safety instructions. After the briefing we set out on this river voyage. Today you will raft for about 25 kms from the camp till Devprayag. Today’s stretch will have rapids of class II – III and will help you get properly warmed up for the more demanding days to follow. You will raft through the confluence of Bhagirathi & Alaknanda which meet to form the Ganga. After the run we will drive back to the camp. Evening at leisure

  • Day 2

After an early breakfast we will drive up to Gauchar via Rudraprayag (70 kms/2 hrs). This would be the starting point of our rafting trip on the Upper Alaknanda. Here you would again go through a detailed briefing on what to expect and then set off on the river. Today’s run will take about 5 hours (with breaks) and will culminate a few kms ahead of the confluence of the Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers in Rudraprayag. But rest assured that there would never be a dull moment as you navigate through a series of Class III+ and IV rapids through a fabulous landscape. There are calm sections of the river where you could body surf/float in the cool waters of the Alaknanda and take in the breathtaking scenery. Today’s run is what we would call a busy day at office with most of the time spent in scouting & navigating the rapids. End the rafting trip and from there drive back to the camp at Jayalgarh (1 hr). In the night, relive the events of the day by a bonfire, followed by dinner.

  • Day 3

The festival continues with rafting on the holy Ganga today. After breakfast we will drive down to Kaudiyala (2 hrs) and from there raft down till Rishikesh through a section having class II – IV rapids. There will be many rapids today. Some of the well known one’s are Three Blind Mice, Crossfire, Return to the Sender, Roller Coaster, Golf Course, Clubhouse and Double Trouble. After a thrilling time on the river we finish our trip at Rishikesh. We will have lunch here after which the guests will be dropped to Haridwar from where they can proceed with their onwards journey.
